Democratic Senator Robert Torricelli introduced concurrent resolution 85 in the US Senate.

A similar resolution was introduced into the house.

Specifically, the resolution condemned Bob Jones University.

Here’s a quote from the resolution: "whereas officials of Bob Jones University have likened the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church to a "possessed demon" and branded Catholicism as a "satanic system and religion of the anti-christ, be it resolved that the Senate condemns practices at Bob Jones University and strongly denounces individuals who seek to subvert the American ideals of inclusion, equality, and social justice."

But the plot thickens.

The Interfaith Alliance, a liberal Protestant organization supported the resolution, their spokesmen, a Baptist minister said that Bob Jones University committed "heresy."

Bob Jones Stance on the Papacy is the same of every Reformer to a man! – Luther, Knox, Wesley, Calvin, etc.

Rev. 12:17 – devil is angry with those obeying God’s commandments – for the right reason!

THE SABBATH COMMANDMENT ESPECIALLY IDENTIFIES THE TRUE GOD.

HE IS THE ONE THAT MADE EVERYTHING!

TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE CLEAR THAT THE SABBATH IS GOD'S SEAL OR SIGN. TURN TO EZEKIEL CHAPTER 20

Ezek. 20:20 And hallow ' my-Sabbaths; and they

shall be a "Sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God. (KJV)

WHEN THE OLD TESTAMENT WAS TRANSLATED INTO GREEK, THE VERY SAME GREEK WORD THAT IS USED FOR THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS USED FOR THE WORD SIGN IN THIS TEXT.

SIGN OR MARK IS THE VERY SAME WORD AND MEANS THE SAME THING!

In fact, in Genesis 4:15, this same word is translated "mark" regarding Cain.

YAHWEH, THE GOD OF HEAVEN, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER CLEARLY SAYS THAT THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH IS HIS SIGN.

LET'S LOOK AT THE SABBATH A LITTLE CLOSER TO FIND OUT WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY ABOUT IT.

THE SABBATH WAS ESTABLISHED BEFORE SIN ENTERED THE WORLD.

Gen. 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (KJV)

Gen. 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (KJV)

THE SABBATH WILL BE KEPT IN THE NEW EARTH!

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the

new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. (KJV)

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that

from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. (KJV)

JESUS KEPT THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH!

Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he

had been brought tip: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (KJV)

JESUS' CLOSEST FOLLOWERS KEPT THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH EVEN AFTER HIS DEATH!

LUKE 23:52-56 52 This man went unto Pilate,

and begged the body of Jesus. 53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulcher that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54 And that day was the preparation and the Sabbath drew on.

55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher, and how his body was laid.

56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment. (KJV)

THIS PROVES THAT JESUS NEVER TAUGHT MEN THAT AFTER HIS DEATH THE SABBATH WOULD BE ABOLISHED!

PAUL OBSERVED THE SABBATH AND TAUGHT OTHERS TO DO SO!

ACTS 13:42-44 42 And when the Jews were

gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 43 Now when the congregation was broken up many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. 44 And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. (KJV)

NOTICE THAT IN VERSE 42, THE JEWS HAD GONE OUT OF THE SYNAGOGUE, AND THE GENTILES WANTED TO HEAR MORE OF PAUL'S PREACHING.

NOW SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT PAUL KEPT SUNDAY, BUT ONLY OBSERVED THE SABBATH BECAUSE OF THE JEWS.

BUT IN VERSE 42 IT SAYS THAT THE JEWS HAD LEFT AND THE GENTILES ONLY WERE THERE.

AND THEY WANTED TO HEAR MORE PREACHING!

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY FOR PAUL TO TELL THEM TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY FOR SUNDAY SERVICE IF HE KEPT SUNDAY HOLY!

BUT HE DIDN'T DO THAT!

VERSE 44 SAYS THAT THE NEXT SABBATH DAY THE WHOLE TOWN CAME TO HEAR PAUL PREACH, BOTH JEWS AND GREEKS!

ACTS 18:3-4 3 And because he was of the

same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (KJV)

Acts 18:11 And he continued there a year and

six months, teaching the word of God among them. (KJV)

HERE WE HAVE A RECORD OF AT LEAST 82 SABBATHS THAT PAUL OBSERVED, AND WHICH JEWS AND GREEKS OBSERVED AFTER JESUS' ASCENSION TO HEAVEN!

THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE IN THE ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT THAT SUNDAY WAS EVER OBSERVED IN ANY SENSE AS A DAY OF WORSHIP TO REPLACE THE SABBATH!

NOW HERE IS THE QUESTION.

IF GOD SAYS THAT THE SABBATH IS HIS SIGN OR SEAL, OR MARK, AND HE PLACED IT IN THE VERY HEART OF HIS LAW OF TEN COMMANDMENTS.....

AND IF THE FINAL CONFLICT WILL INVOLVE THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD....

WOULDN'T IT MAKE SENSE THAT THE BEAST OF REVELATION, THAT GREAT COUNTERFEITER OF TRUE RELIGION WOULD TRY AND SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER DAY IN PLACE OF THE SABBATH?

DO YOU KNOW THAT THE BIBLE CLEARLY SAYS THAT THE GREAT HARLOT, THE BEAST, CALLED THE "LITTLE HORN" IN DANIEL CHAPTER 7 CHANGED THE TIME OF GODS'S HOLY DAY?

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. (KJV)

ON PAGE 29 OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC MIRROR DATED SEPTEMBER 23, 1893, ON PAGE 29, WE FIND THIS STATEMENT:

"THE CATHOLIC CHURCH FOR OVER A THOUSAND YEARS BEFORE THE EXISTENCE OF A PROTESTANT CHANGED THE DAY FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY ... SUNDAY IS THEREFORE THE ACKNOWLEDGED OFFSPRING OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ... WITHOUT A WORD OF REMONSTRANCE FROM THE PROTESTANT WORLD."

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST ENRIGHT WRITES:

"IT WAS THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH THAT CHANGED THE DAY OF REST FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY, THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, AND IT NOT ONLY COMPELLED ALL TO KEEP SUNDAY, BUT AT THE COUNCIL OF LAODICEA, AD 364, ANATHEMATIZED THOSE WHO KEEP THE SABBATH AND URGED ALL PERSONS TO LABOR ON THE

SEVENTH-DAY, UNDER PAIN OF ANATHEMA."

THE ROMAN CHURCH IN THE THIRD CENTURY FORCED PEOPLE TO WORK ON GOD'S HOLY SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH OR BE PUT OUT OF THE CHURCH!

BABYLON THE GREAT HAS NOT ONLY CHANGED THE SABBATH, BUT BOASTS THAT SUNDAY IS HER MARK OF AUTHORITY!

NOT ONLY THAT, BUT SHE PLAINLY ADMITS THAT IT CAME FROM PAGANISM AS WE DISCUSSED ALREADY!

IN THE CATHOLIC WORLD, DATED MARCH 1894, ON PAGE 809, WE FIND THE GREAT HARLOT AS REVELATION 17 CALLS HER SAYING THIS:

"SHE (ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH) TOOK THE PAGAN SUNDAY AND MADE IT THE CHRISTIAN SUNDAY."

PERHAPS FOR SOME, THESE TRUTHS ARE NEW...
