These are challenging days to be alive!
In a few weeks, it will be the anniversary of 9/11 - a painful reminder of how dangerous the world has become.
We are seeing more and more the results of a society that gives no value to life.
We live in a world where millions of infants are killed each day because the parents of the innocent one do not want them to be born!
Several nations have legalized euthanasia - doctor assisted suicide.
There is a 55% divorce rate. Pornographic sites are by far the most visited sites on the internet.
Movies are filled with sex and violence.
What has happened to society to bring about these conditions?
Why is it that many people are cynical when you talk about Jesus Christ or the Bible?
There must be some fundamental reason for this!
I believe that the foundation of all that we are seeing in a world that has departed from God is rooted in the issue of origins - where man came from.
In fact, the issue of origins is at the very heart of the Great Controversy!
The great questions about the mark of the beast, or the seal of God - His Sabbath day is really an issue of origin - of creation!
The issue of man's origin is at the very root and foundation of religion!
Today, the Theory of Evolution has been widely accepted by many Christians and many churches!
In fact, on October 5th of 1996, Pope John Paul said that he saw no conflict between religious teachings and the Theory of Evolution!
Here the representative of the largest Christian church on earth, and the church system of religion the Bible identifies as Babylon - a system that boasts of changing God's Seventh-day Sabbath to Sunday, says that evolution is compatible with the Christian faith!
By saying that, he compromised Jesus, the Bible, God's Law, and the Creation account of the Bible!
Open you Bibles to Mark 13:18-19:
18 And pray ye that your
flight be not in the winter.
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the
beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
Notice that Jesus referred to Creation! He said God created!
If we believe in evolution, then we deny that Jesus was
part of the all knowing Godhead! We even then have to assume that He taught
error regarding man's origins!
Friends, I have news for the Pope! Evolution is not compatible with God's Word or the Christian faith!
People have been duped into believing that evolution is science.
But it is not true science - rather, it's a belief system about the past that is motivated by the refusal to accept the authority of a Creator God to whom we are answerable!
People who believe in Creation believe the testimony of one who was there - namely Yahweh - the Lord!
The evolutionist must trust in men who were not there, and who theorize what might have happened, and they continually change their ideas!
Many people think of scientists as unbiased people in white lab coats who objectively search for truth.
However, scientists are sinful human beings like all men and women, and they have their biases and their belief systems.
The secular humanist has preconceived biases that make him or her interpret the evidence in a certain way.
An atheist cannot entertain the question "Did God create?" because the minute he asks that question, his belief system is destroyed!
Even if he tripped over the door of Noah's ark, he would deny it because his belief system cannot entertain the idea of God!
Keep this in mind when you watch TV programs about origins, or read current literature about it.
Evolution is a religion whose God is man.
The fruit of evolution has been war, immorality, violence, abortion, euthanasia, lawlessness, prejudice, racism, and all the evils a godless belief system would give rise to!
Creation is a religious belief too, but it is based on the Words of the Creator, and what true science supports!
The fruit of believing in a redemptive Creator is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and self-control!
The Seventh-day Sabbath alone stands as a perpetual reminder that we were created by Yahweh - the God of heaven!
Open your Bibles to Revelation 4, verse 11
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
The Bible says that the Lord is worthy to be worshipped because He created everything! The devil wants to be worshipped instead of God, and by substituting Sunday for the Seventh-day Sabbath - the memorial of creation - he takes away the reminder of who the Creator is and the reason He's worthy of worship!
Because the Sabbath points to the One true, creator God, it is the special object of attack by the enemy of souls!
When you visit a museum, you are confronted by bits and pieces of bones and other fossils neatly arranged in a glass case.
These are often accompanied by pictures representing an artist's impression of what the animals may have looked like in their natural environment.
Remember, no one dug up the picture, just the fossils!
For example, in Tasmania there is a sandstone bed containing millions of pieces of bones, most of which are no large than the end of your thumb.
If you go to that sandstone bed which is being excavated, you will see a large picture the scientists have drawn.
Creation scientist Ken Ham said, "You can stare at those pieces of bone for as long as you like, but you will never see the picture the scientists have drawn. The picture is their story of their own preconceived bias, and that is all it can ever be." - The Lie, p. 19.
The Bible teaches that in six days God created the heavens, the earth, and all that is in them from nothing - each part was designed to work with all the others in perfect harmony.
When God completed His work of creation, He said, "Behold, it is very good." There was no death, the earth had a mild climate and an underground watering system rich in nutrients.
There was a canopy over the earth that kept the climate perfect all over the globe.
However, we no longer live in the world that God created.
Sin entered the world, and death through sin.
A struggle for life entered the world - the creation was cursed because of sin.
Charles Darwin called this struggle for life "natural selection," and offered this theory as a substitution for the Creator!
When no transitionary fossils were ever found proving one animal changing into another, the idea of mutations over millions of years was added to Darwin's theory.
But friends, death and accidents do not create: instead mutations are always weaker and a detriment to any species! This is what true science says!
The sin problem, and the flood better explains the geologic evidence and the millions of fossils that were laid down rapidly by water all over the world!
Because they deny the flood, evolutionists must explain the layers of sediment as taking millions of years to be laid down!
Yet there are places in the geologic layers of tress going through several layers proving that the layers were laid down rapidly as would happen in a flood!
In fact, the flooding that resulted from the explosion of Mount St. Helens left sediment layers that look like the geologic sediments that evolutionists said took millions of years to form!
There is much evidence for a young creation of no more than 6,000 years.
Scientists calculated that the dust on the moon was hundreds of feet deep because they estimated the moon to be millions of years old. That's why the Lunar Lander had giant pads on the bottom.
But there was only a few inches of dust - about the amount that would have accumulated in about 6,000 years!
The Bristle Cone Pine Trees found in the White Mountain area of Nevada are the oldest trees on earth - their rings when counted add up to about 5,000 years! Why aren't there any older than that?
They say the sun is shrinking 1% every 1000 years. If scientists estimate the sun to be about 6,000 years old, it's right where it's supposed to be!
If they plug in the figure of millions of years, then the sun should be touching the earth!
Scientists have also recently abandoned the "Big Bang Theory." The reason is simple, scientists have discovered that many heavenly bodies like Uranus, Venus, and many stars are rotating the opposite direction from which they would be rotating had they been the result of a big bang explosion - matter from an explosion doesn't move toward the center of the explosion - but away from it!
They say the rotation of the earth has been slowing down uniformly. This has been proven.
If, as the evolutionists say, the earth is billions of years old, if we go back in time and speed up the earth according to the rate of slowing for billions of years, the earth would be shaped like a pancake spinning so fast that no life could survive on it!
Dr. Henry Morris calculated that with a growth rate of only one half of one percent (the current growth rate is 4%) for a million years, the number of people on the earth would be 10 to the 2100 power!
To appreciate this number, we must remember that scientists say that there are only 10 to the 130th power of electrons in the entire universe!
Another thing to consider is that, the Bible says the "earth was formless and void" in the beginning. We don't know how long the material existed before the Lord called it to use on creation week!
I could make a cabinet today using four thousand year old Bristle Cone Pine wood, and if you dated the wood, you would say my cabinet was 4,000 years old, but I just made it!
We don't know how long the earth was "formless and void" before the Lord began the six days of creation!
Evolution is the story of a Frog becoming a Prince, and the magic kiss is time!
Evolutionists can't explain where the mud that the first magical living cell was created in - struck by some lightning bolt!
Who made the material that made the universe?
They have to believe in eternal mud! I'd rather believe in an eternal God, what do you say?
Evolutionists say that the whole universe was once the size of a nickel! Wow what great faith or great stupidity they must have to believe that whopper!
What was the size of a nickel was the finger of God who said, let there be, and there was - what do you say?
Every culture in the world has a flood story. Sea shells found on the tops of great mountains can only be explained by the great flood the Bible talks about.
The richest fossil beds on earth are found on the earth's highest points which would be explained by animals running for higher ground as the flood waters grew!
Evolution cannot explain this phenomena!
Evolutionists have the media at their disposal. All they would have to do is come up with one piece of evidence that proves evolution.
But there cannot do this, because there is no evidence.
Darwin expected that millions of trasitionary fossils would be found - animals changing into other animals, but they have never found one!
In fact, evolutionists have tried to create their own evidence!
For example, in 1922 Harold Cook, an evolutionist scientist discovered what he called "Nebraska Man" in sediment deposits in Nebraska.
A tremendous amount of literature calling this finding the "missing link" between apelike creatures and man was published.
Dr. Cook said that Nebraska Man lived about 1 million years ago.
Cook's finding was used in the famous Scopes Evolution trial in Dayton, Tennessee in 1925.
William Jennings Bryan was confronted with a battery of "great scientific experts" who stunned him with the "facts" about Nebraska Man.
The experts mocked Bryan's lack of response to this "new find."
Bryan was intimated by the "experts." Mark Twain said, "an expert is usually just some guy from out of town."
But what exactly was the "scientific proof" for Nebraska Man the experts testified about at the Scopes trial?
It was one tooth!
They found one tooth!
The top scientists of the world examined this tooth and appraised it as proof positive that there was a prehistoric race of these missing links in America.
What a classic case of excessive imagination!
Years after the Scopes trial, they found the entire skeleton of the animal from which the tooth came from.
It turned out that the tooth cam from an extinct species of pig!
The "experts" who ridiculed William Jennings Bryan created an entire race of missing links from the tooth of a pig!
This was proven by Doctor Scott Huse, and is documented in his book The Collapse of Evolution.
Needless to say, the media gave little publicity to the discovered error!
And do you know that the pictures drawn of these supposed half man and half animal creatures have never been withdrawn from elementary school science books!
So don't be fooled when you look in a science book and see a series of drawings showing a monkey evolving into a human being dressed in a business suit and walking erect.
The devil is just trying to make a monkey out of you!
Brothers and sister, the only book we should believe everything in is God's Book - the Holy Bible!
In 1926, bones were found in Java.
They termed the find "Pithecanthropos" or "Java Man."
This too was written up as a great discovery in the scientific journals of the day.
It turned out that the bones were the bones of an extinct elephant.
In 1912, they found the remains of what was called "Piltdown Man."
It was discovered by a Charles Dawson.
He found some bones, some teeth, and primitive implements which he said he found in a gravel pit in Piltdown, England.
He took his fossils to Dr. Arthur Smith Woodward, an eminent paleontologist at the British Museum.
Dr. Woodward said the fossils were 500,000 years old.
Again a flood of literature followed in response to the great finding.
Over 500 doctoral dissertations were written based on Piltdown Man.
The pictures and "proof" for evolution provided by Piltdown Man was in school books until 1956.
Those of you in school from 1926 till 1956 saw drawings and read stories about Piltdown Man.
In 1956, the hoax was exposed!
Reader's Digest came out with an article summarized from Popular Science Monthly entitled the "Great Piltdown Hoax."
Using a new method to date bones based on fluoride consumption, the Piltdown bones were found to be fraudulent.
Further critical investigation revealed that the jawbone actually belonged to an ape that had died only 50 years previously.
The teeth had been filed down, and both teeth and bones were discolored with potash to conceal their true identity.
Piltdown Man was a hoax that completely fooled the experts!
The fraud was perpetrated by a man named Teilhard who was frustrated that Darwin's theory had no convincing evidence!
He decided to help it out a bit!
I wonder how many other frauds are being perpetrated in the classrooms, and museums of the world today!
Praise God for Christian schools where the truth is taught and where the Creator is recognized and honored!
What about Neanderthal Man - you've heard about Neanderthal Man right?
These bones were first discovered at about the turn of the century in a cave in the Neanderthal Valley near Dusseldorf, Germany.
Neanderthal Man was portrayed as a semi-erect, barrel chested, brutish sort of fellow, and intermediary link between apes and modern man.
Again the scientific journals were filled with articles by evolutionary scientists.
But as the years passed, other skeletons were found and it was determined that Neanderthal Man was fully human.
The first skeleton that they found was of a man that had osteo-arthritis, and rickets, and that's why he was bent over!
Today Neanderthal Man is classified as Homo-sapiens - fully human!
The Theory of Evolution has at its foundation the idea that given enough time, anything can happen!
Even non-scientific processes like spontaneous generation - life from non-life are believed by evolutionists!
Evolution makes as much sense as believing that if a bunch on monkeys played with a computer fro billions of years, then one day the monkeys will print out an unabridged dictionary of the English language!
And since the discovery of DNA, and the tremendous complexity of even a single living cell, Mathematicians have calculated that it would be far better odds that throwing a hand grenade in a paint store would result in the Mona Lisa painting than for life to have formed by accident!
Living cells have millions of parts, but even for a 200 part system to develop by chance would be odds of 1 out of 10 to the 175th power! Ten times ten times ten times ten - 175 times!!!!!
Even Charles Darwin when considering the human eyes wrote, "To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree possible." Flaws in The Theory of Evolution, p. 468.
Yes, Charles, the Theory of Evolution is definitely absurd!
The beauty that we see in nature, the intricate design, the migration of birds, the complexity of life, the carefully designed relationship each species has to other species can only be explained by intelligent design orchestrated by a Great Designer - a Great Creator!
Yahweh - Our Heavenly Father, and His Son our Savior made the rose, They gave the birds their song!
Jesus painted the sunset, and forms the baby in the womb!
How sad that there is a world that has forgotten its Creator!
Romans 1:28 states: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
What about the Dinosaurs? Their sudden extinction can be explained by the flood!
On June 1, 1968 in Utah, William Meister found fossils of dinosaurs and a sandaled human foot in the same fossil!
In Arizona and Rhodesia, they have found dinosaur pictures drawn on the walls of caves - drawings made by men!
Jesus spoke of the flood!
What about Carbon 14 dating, and Potassium-argon dating?
These dating methods are based on the assumption that every day was as it is today, and the rate of radioactive decay was always the same.
In M. Bowden's Book, The Rise of The Evolution Fraud, the author documents how a scientist by the name of Barry Setterfield proved that the decay of radioactive material in the rocks in the past would be much greater than it is today!
In the book The Collapse of Evolution, Dr Huse documents cases where living snails were dated by the Carbon 14 methods and said to be 2300 years old.
Wood from growing trees were said to be 10,000 years old!
Hawaiian lava formed a few years ago was dated by the Potassium-Argon method and they were supposed to be 3 billion years old!
Brothers and sisters, when you get up on Sabbath morning, and get dressed, and come to church with your family - when you rest from your labor and keep the seventh-day of the week holy, you are saying to the Lord, and to the world, "Lord, I remember that You created this world. You are my Creator and Redeemer! You created me anew in your Son Jesus!"
When you keep the Seventh-day Sabbath, you are saying, "I believe God's Word. I love Him enough to keep His Commandments. I want God's seal on my forehead. My Lord is worthy of praise and honor and glory, for He has created all things!"
Praise God, what do you say?
God is good! All the time!
Do you know that some people have an evolutionary idea of salvation!
They believe that if they keep working at it, they will reach a point where God will see their development and save them.
They believe that in time, they will become good enough to be saved!
But Jesus Christ has already tasted death for every man, woman, boy and girl it says in Hebrews 2:9.
1 John 5:12 says that "He that hath the Son has life."
Romans 5:11 says we have "now received the atonement."
Romans 5:19 says by the obedience of One - Jesus - the second Adam - the many were made righteous!
John 1:12 says that "as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the Sons of God!"
When we receive Jesus, we receive power to obey Him , power to live the Christian life - power to walk as he walked!
We don't evolve it, we receive it by faith!
"If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things pass away, behold all things become new!"
When I was first converted, we took a walk, and for the first time I noticed the flowers, the clouds, the son of the birds!
Things looked new! On every leaf and on every flower, as Ellen White wrote, I could see the words, "God is love!"
He made you! He saved you! He's coming back for you! He loves you! He wants your heart!
