Take Them to the Cross

Glenn Coon told the following story in his book Path to the Heart, on page 29.  “A little girl was lost in the great city of London.  Finding the little girl in this sad plight, the police tried to help her.

“What is your name, little girl?”  they asked.

“Patsy,” the little girl responded.

“What is your last name?”

“I don’t know,” cried the little frightened girl.

“What’s your daddy’s name?” the police officers asked.

“I don’t know,” wailed the little girl.

“Where do you live?” asked the officer again.

A teary “I don’t know” was all they could get as a reply.

Then one of the police officers thought of the big cross on top of the church steeple.  He pointed to it and said, “Can
you see that cross from your house?”

“Yes,” the little girl cried, “Take me to the cross, I can get home from there!”

This is the work of the gospel worker.  Take the lost ones to the cross.  They can get home safely for all eternity from there!  God bless and keep you!  Keep your courage!  Be not afraid of the face of man.  Don’t grow weary in well doing, for your work shall be rewarded!
